A demand for more flexible working from employees could be a mainstay, is the prediction as office workers begin to trickle back into workplaces post-COVID.

As reported in the Financial Times, and in other news outlets, a forum of more than 50 senior executives have argued that the pandemic fallout will have a long term effect but that town centres will adapt and flourish, not stagnate.

It warns of the challenge to keep the workforce inspired and energised if a virtual, flexible working model is in place, and disadvantages from the perspective of organisational culture and social communications.
